Lucknow District TT Ranking Kicks Off at UPTTA Complex

Lucknow, May 25. The Lucknow District Ranking Table Tennis Tournament-2025 commenced today at the UPTTA Table Tennis Complex in Hazratganj. Organized by the Lucknow District Table Tennis Association, the two-day tournament aims to identify and select top players to represent the Lucknow District Table Tennis Team. The event features competitions across multiple categories including Men’s, Women’s, and various youth age groups: Under-19, Under-17, Under-15, Under-13, and Under-11.
Men’s Singles - Quarterfinals See Dominant Performances:
In the Men’s Singles category, Divyansh Srivastava showcased excellent form, overpowering Akshaj 3-0 (11-5, 11-5, 11-5). Aditya Jain also cruised past Ayush Bagga with a similar 3-0 margin (11-5, 11-4, 11-4). In other matches, Ali Abbas defeated Lakshya Kumar 3-1 (12-10, 8-11, 11-8, 11-3), while Ashutosh Singh emerged victorious against Ayush Mishra 3-1 (11-8, 11-5, 11-8).
Boys Under-11 – Intense Battles Lead to Final Showdown:
The Boys Under-11 category delivered thrilling matches. In the quarterfinals, Pranit Agrawal defeated Viraj 3-0, while Reyan Gupta edged past Ankush Balmiki in a five-game battle (3-2). Harshit outplayed Varchasva in another five-game thriller, and Kabir beat Vishruth 3-0.
In the semi-finals, Pranit Agrawal continued his winning streak, sweeping Reyan Gupta 3-0, while Kabir mirrored that performance with a 3-0 win over Harshit.
Girls Under-11 – Adya and Medura Enter Finals
In the Girls Under-11 semi-finals, Adya made quick work of Khadija with a straight-set victory (11-6, 11-3, 11-8), while Medura narrowly edged past Arohi in a five-set encounter (11-7, 11-9, 8-11, 9-11, 11-5), setting up an exciting final between the two.
Boys Under-17 – Quarterfinals Feature Strong Contenders
The Under-17 Boys quarterfinals saw Ayush Bagga beat Srijan 3-0 (14-12, 14-12, 11-4). Shorya Goel got the better of Vihaan Uppal 3-1, and Lakshya defeated Prashast in straight games. Akshaj also advanced, beating Arpit 3-1 (13-11, 12-10, 5-11, 12-10).
Girls Under-13 – Vartika Claims Title in Style
The Girls Under-13 division concluded with Vartika clinching the championship. She beat Ritika 3-0 in the quarterfinals, outclassed Amaya 3-0 in the semis, and triumphed over Vaishnavi 3-1 (6-11, 11-9, 11-7, 12-10) in a gripping final. Vaishnavi had earlier defeated Adya 3-0 in the semi-finals.
With a mix of emerging talent and seasoned competitors, the tournament is building excitement as it heads into the final rounds on May 26. The event not only provides a competitive platform for local players but also serves as a selection ground for district-level representation.
