72nd Stag Global U.P. State TT Championship Concludes Successfully in Noida

Noida. The 72nd Stag Global U.P. State Table Tennis Championships, held in Noida from 21st to 23rd November 2025, concluded with great success, showcasing high-level competition across all categories and leaving behind memorable sporting moments.

The tournament was inaugurated by Former President of TTFI & UPTTA, Sri Prabhat C. Chaturvedi, IAS (Retd.), who commended the spirited participation and organisational excellence. The event was impeccably managed by the Gautam Budh Nagar Table Tennis Association under the leadership of Sri Shyam Kumar and Sri Mridul Khilnani, ensuring smooth and efficient conduct throughout the three-day championship.

On the closing day, the event was graced by GAIL Executive Director, Sri S. S. Agrawal, who attended as the Chief Guest. UPTTA extended heartfelt gratitude to GAIL for sponsoring the championship and acknowledged the continued support of Sri Vivek Kohli, which has been invaluable to the growth of the sport.

Stag Global was also thanked for its crucial and consistent support, without which hosting a championship of this scale would not have been possible.

The Technical Team, led by Sri N. K. Lahiry, Chairman of the Technical Committee, along with Chief Referee IU Akash Yadav, Deputy Referee Saumya Singh and the dedicated panel of umpires, ensured excellent technical supervision and flawless match conduct.

New State Champions Announced:

• Men’s Singles Champion: Divyansh Srivastava (Lucknow)

• Women’s Singles Champion: Avani Tripathi (Ghaziabad)

A total cash prize of ₹1.29 lakhs was distributed among the deserving winners, boosting the morale of young and emerging talents from across the state.

UPTTA expressed sincere thanks to all officials, players, sponsors, organisers and supporters for contributing to the grand success of the championship. Special appreciation was extended to UPTTA President and former State Champion, Sri Sanjiv Pathak, for his continued support and guidance. Although he could not be physically present due to prior commitments, his encouragement remained vital.

A heartfelt acknowledgment was also given to Sri Arun Kumar Banerjee, described as the driving force behind the entire event. His leadership, vision and constant support played a pivotal role in making the championship a resounding success.
